Uniform orders are filled on Wednesdays.

Completed order forms need to be at the school office by Tuesday for orders to be filled and delivered to your child by Wednesday.

NEW ON LINE LUNCH ORDERING PROCESS

Lunch orders are available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The new on line ordering process is up and running.

Please log in to QKR and follow the steps.

All lunch orders will be on line only from Monday 23rd October and must be in by 8.30am.

This is the last week to order using Paper bags. All orders will be on line from Monday 23rd October.

The Japanese Word of the Fortnight

ばっちり(pronounced ‘batchiri’) which means ‘perfect’ is the Japanese Word for Week 2 & 3 of Term 4. You can simply use ‘ばっちり’ (‘batchiri’) instead of ‘perfect’ when you are feeling perfect or when you see something perfect.

It is a casual word. You can add ‘です’ (pronounced ‘des’) at the end to make it more polite and say ’ばっちりです’ (pronounced ‘batchiri des’).

Thank you / ありがとうございます (pronounced ‘aligatoh gozaimas’) for your continuing support for our Japanese program.

VALKSTONE'S GOT TALENT

Valkstone’s Got Talent finals were held last term and it was great to see so many incredible talents across the Junior and Senior schools.

A huge thank you to Mr Paturzo, Mrs Goodman and Miss Darling for helping the finals to run so smoothly.

The winners got to perform their award-winning acts at assembly at the start of this term. The Junior School winners were Amelie, Izzy, Zoe, Prience, Indi and Caitlin from Grade 3. The Senior School winners were Sophie, Harper and Lexi from 5A.

JUNIOR SCHOOL COUNCIL

Make-a-Wish Foundation Donation

In Term 3, we raised a total of $436.30 for the make a wish foundation. Way to go Valkstone! This money goes toward making sick kids dreams come true!

Term 4 Social Service Charity

The JSC has voted on the charity that we will be raising money for this term - the Cancer Council. The Cancer Council raise money to fund cancer research, prevention and support.

Week 1 Social Service Champions

A huge shout out to all the classes that raised money this week: Prep A, Prep D, all the 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 3A, 3C, 3D, 4B, 4C, 5B, 6A and 6C. This week we raised a total of $138.70. The class that raised the most this week was 3C!

MELBOURNE AQUARIUM

PREP EXCURSION

On Friday October 13th the Preps went on their very first school excursion to the Melbourne Aquarium. We had a guided tour of the aquarium and saw the Penguins, jellyfish, a crocodile and so many fish. We were even lucky enough to go to a 4D movie of Happy Feet. The Aquarium Educators could not believe that this was the Preps first excursion, they were respectful, asked interesting questions and were beautifully behaved. We had a great day.

Please ensure that your child brings a bamboo fork or spoon from home should they require one to eat their lunch.
