Polding Athletics Carnival

I know I have already mentioned this already in the newsletter, but again congratulations to Annie, Grace S, Lachie and Jessica who represented St Patrick's Primary and the Armidale Diocese at the Polding Athletics Carnival held in Sydney last Friday. Due to a delay with my first flight from Dubbo to Sydney, I wasn't able to make my way out to the venue as originally planned but from what I have heard all of you should be very proud of what you have accomplished as you were competing against the best athletes from all of the Catholic primary schools in the northern half of NSW.

Annie, on behalf of each member of our learning community, I would like to congratulate you for your achievement in the Senior Girl's 800m. To place first in such an event is a major accomplishment, knowing that you are the fastest girl in the 800m from all Catholic schools in the northern half of the state. Looking at the times, it was definitely a close finish! Well done and we wish you all of the best at the NSW PSSA Athletics Carnival in Sydney this upcoming Wednesday and Thursday.

Term 4 Aquatics Program

We have been very lucky to obtain another Sporting Schools Grant for this term and the money will be going toward our annual Aquatics Program that will be held daily throughout Week 9 (4th-8th December). The team from High Country Swimming will be leading this program. More information will be released later this term.

St Patrick's Primary Sports Handbook

St Patrick's now has an official sports handbook. This book is designed to give all members associated with our school a clearer understanding of when our school conducts our various sporting carnivals, the processes/qualifying times involved for students who want to represent our school at Diocesan sporting events as well as an explanation of the representative sporting pathways your child may want to undertake in their respective sports.
