Dear Parents and Carers

As the school year comes to close and we are all preparing to close our classroom doors over the Christmas and summer break I’m so filled with gratitude. This year has been another one to be proud of. Our classrooms have been alive with curiosity, creativity, and determination. I’ve seen students challenge themselves, support one another, and discover new strengths they didn’t even know they had. They’ve shown what it means to learn with both their minds and their hearts. I thank the students for bringing so much joy and purpose to our work.

To our graduating Year 6 students - go forward with pride and confidence. You will always be part of our school family and we hope that you will carry what you have learned here—your faith, your kindness, your courage—into the next chapter of your journey.

Thank you to our cherished priests. Their spiritual guidance and wisdom have been a source of strength and inspiration, grounding us in faith as we grow together. Thank you teachers and staff: thank you for the commitment and dedication you bring to your work every day. You create classrooms where children feel safe, valued, and inspired. You model patience, wisdom, and faith. You guide the students not only academically, but spiritually, emotionally and physically, helping them see God’s presence in their learning and in one another. Your work is a blessing to this community.

Thank you parents for your partnership, your trust, and your constant support. The way you encourage your children, celebrate their successes, and walk alongside them in their challenges makes all the difference. We are grateful for the strong, faith-filled community you help us build.

And through all of this, we remember that God has been with us every step of the way. We give thanks for the moments of joy, the lessons learned, the friendships strengthened, and the opportunities we’ve been given. As Scripture reminds us in the SCS theme, “May we always seek what is good, true and beautiful”, we have certainly been able to experience many reasons to rejoice what is good, true and beautiful this year.

As we prepare for the holidays, I hope each of you find time to rest, to play, and to enjoy the company of those you love. May the peace of Christ fill your homes, and may the spirit of Christmas remind us of God’s endless love.
