Cross Country Training

 

Throughout terms 1 and 2 students could be seen running around the oval on Monday afternoons and Wednesday mornings. About 20 students attended the cross country training sessions which included interval training, relays, time trials, strength training, and games. Students improved their stamina and speed, and their love of running!

Not all students competed in the inter-school cross-country competition, so we finished off term 2 with our own Altona College cross-country race. Eleven students from grades 3-6 ran 2km or 2.6km.

Congratulations to all who completed the course and all who came to the training sessions.

We look forward to getting back into running in term 1 next year!
