Week 6

Our first six weeks of Term 1 have been wonderfully positive, and it has been a joy to see our students settling into routines, embracing learning, and contributing to a warm and connected school community.

Our Prep cohort has had an amazing start to school life. They are now attending until 3:00pm each day, and this week they will transition to full‑time attendance. Their confidence, maturity, and eagerness to learn have impressed every staff member who has worked with them.

A special mention must also go to our Prep parents and carers, who are navigating this big transition with calm, positivity, and great support for their children.

Our Tuning In to Kids sessions, held each Tuesday morning and led by one of our Occupational Therapists, Sinead, continue to be very well attended. These sessions focus on Emotion Coaching—a research‑based approach that helps parents and carers respond to children’s emotions in ways that support healthy emotional development.

Families have shared that they are finding the strategies practical, reassuring, and immediately useful at home.

Our School-Based Apprenticeship students have hit the ground running. The baking students produced delicious bread and scones last week, which were very enthusiastically received by staff. It’s wonderful to see their skills developing so quickly and their pride in their work growing each week.

Cloud Studio launched last week with great energy and creativity. Selected students are invited to attend and connect through dancing, singing, and drawing. The atmosphere has been joyful, and it’s already becoming a highlight of the week for many of our budding artists and performers.

Our Aerobics Team have met a couple of times to begin work on their 2026 program. With previous teams winning the National Finals, we are excited and confident about what this year’s group will achieve. Their enthusiasm and commitment are already shining through.

Permission Forms

A friendly reminder to please check your child’s school bag for any outstanding permission forms. Each year we require families to renew our General Permission Form, which covers:

  • Local excursions (e.g., visits to the local oval)
  • Photo permissions for newsletters and publications
  • Additional routine school activities
  •

These forms are now overdue and need to be returned as soon as possible. Your prompt attention ensures that all students can participate fully and safely in school activities.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we move through the term together. Wishing all families a calm, happy, and productive fortnight ahead.

END OF DAY BUS COLLECTION

A reminder to please ensure students who ride the bus are met promptly at their drop-off. Drivers cannot leave students unattended without written permission. If no adult is present, the bus waits 3 minutes before continuing. Unattended students will be returned to school, and parents will be contacted for pickup.

Thank you for helping us keep all students safe.
