Here are a few dates to pop in your calendars for events early this term:
Week 2 - Sunday, 25th October - Years 1 & 4 Family Mass, 9:00am
Week 3 - Tuesday, 27th October - Year 5 Grade Mass, 9:30am
Week 5 - Wednesday, 11th November, 6:30-8:00pm - Real Talk parent evening (St Nicholas School)
October is World Mission Month. It is a time when our school community and Church gathers in a spirit of unity, prayer and generosity. Across continents, communities come together to celebrate a shared calling that transcends borders, languages and cultures – a living expression of a Church united in Christ and sent forth in mission.
At St Edward's our students have participated in "Free Hat Friday" and "Crazy Sock Day" to raise very valuable funds for this cause. By supporting Catholic Mission, we help provide essential aid such as food, water, education and emergency relief through Church-run programs. Together, we can bring hope and opportunity to those who need it most.

Early notice for the Real Talk Parent Information Night. This evening is open to all parents of children in Years 4 - 6. This evening will be held at St Nicholas, Carthage Street, in their School Hall.

Our Primary Book Fair was a great success today. Thank you to all our St Edward's community for your generous support of our Fair. It was fantastic to see so many excited faces eager to start reading their new books!
Infants, tomorrow is your turn! The Book Fair will open from 8.00am in the Library for parents and carers to visit the Fair with their children.
Students who do not have an adult with them and have money to spend at the Fair will be collected from their classroom during the day to purchase their books.
For students who were away for the Book Fair, or forgot their money on sale day, there will be one last opportunity to purchase books on Monday 26th October - if this is your child please ensure they let their class teacher know in the morning so they can be collected to complete their purchases.
Infants Sale Day - Friday 23rd October, 8.00am - 3.00pm, Infants Library
Payment Options for Book Fair
There will be 3 payment options for purchasing books at our Book Fair:-
Option 1 EFT - This year, we have arranged to have 2 EFTPOS machines to assist with the early morning lines. There will be a 1% transaction fee on EFT purchases.
Option 2 Cash - We will be accepting cash payments on our sales days. If you choose to send your child with cash, please ensure it is in a zip-locked bag with their name, class and amount on it.
Option 3 - Avoid the queue and use the prepay option on the back of your child's wish list. Students will complete a wish list with their class prior to our campus Sale Days. Parents decide how much their child can spend at the fair and will transfer that amount directly to Scholastic prior to the Sale Day. This option works like a gift card. The student will need to return their completed wish list with the amount paid and the receipt number to use this option.
