Assistant Principal News

Thank you

As we come to the end of another vibrant term, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone in our school community for your ongoing support and contributions. It has been a successful and enriching term, and this would not have been possible without the collective efforts of our staff, students, and families. Thank you to those who volunteered their time for our off-site events such as excursions and the sports gala, as well as those who supported on-site events like our Working Bee and the ever-popular Japanese Café, Prep Cultural Day. A very special thanks to our dedicated Parents and Friends Club, who have worked tirelessly to organise a number of fundraising events throughout the term, including our cake stall, sausage sizzles, and special celebrations like Tanabata, Children’s Day, and Grandparents and Special Persons Day. Your involvement truly brings our school community to life. Of course, I must also thank our wonderful students, who continue to amaze us every day with their enthusiasm, creativity, and positive attitude. We are incredibly proud to see them consistently demonstrate our School Values and strive for excellence across all areas—from academics and the arts to science and sport. A special shout out to our Prep students who have now completed their very first semester of school! We can’t wait to celebrate their 100th Day of school early next term.

I wish all our families a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved break.

Grandparents and Special Persons Dayのモーニングティーの準備など、たくさんイベントのサポートをしてくださりありがとうございました。

Grandparents and Special Persons Day

This term we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming nearly 200 guests to our school for Grandparents and Special Persons Day. It was heart-warming to see so many family members join us and to witness the joy and pride on our students’ faces as they shared their classroom learning. These special moments really highlight the strong sense of community we are so fortunate to have at our school. A big thank you to Okano Sensei and Miss Pyrcz for organising a fantastic performance from the CPS Choir, as well as both Dance Club groups—your hard work and dedication truly made the event memorable.

School Wide Positive Behaviour Support – School Values Survey

Thank you to all families who completed our recent School Values Survey. Your input is incredibly valuable as we continue to refine and strengthen our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support framework. We have also conducted the same survey with our staff and have since shortlisted a set of core values, which have now been shared with our students. Over the coming days, students will be voting in their classrooms to help finalise the values that will guide our school community moving forward. We look forward to announcing our updated School Values early next term!
