A message from Mr. Gatt, Miss. Slaymaker & Mrs. Dixon
As always it has been another busy fortnight at Westgrove, with lots to celebrate. Here is a little snippet of all that has been happening!
Dates for your calendars for the next fortnight:
Locking of Junior and Senior student toilets at 3pm
In recent weeks, we have been trialling locking our junior and senior toilets at 3pm each day. This is a safety measure we are putting into place for our students as families are in the yard for end of day pick up. Therefore, students that need to use the toilets from 3.00pm-3.15pm will be using the BER toilets. These toilets are not to be accessed by families. Children have been shown where these toilets are located. We thank you for your support and understanding.
School Hats
As we have now hit Spring, students are required to wear a school hat or another hat style that protects the face, neck and ears when outdoors, for example broad-brimmed, legionnaire or bucket. Students who are not wearing appropriate protective clothing or a hat will be asked to play in the shade or in a suitable area protected from the sun.
Students are not required to have a Westgrove hat, they can simply wear a navy blue hat from Kmart, Big W or Best & Less.

Parent Opinion Survey
It is that time of year for our annual Parent/ Caregiver/Guardian Survey! We are encouraging all families to complete the survey (it should take no longer than 20 minutes). The survey is accessible in multiple languages.
Please see Compass or Class Dojo for the survey link and school code.
Let's see if we can have more than 110 surveys completed (last year's total)!
2026 Planning
It is hard to believe we are at that point of the year again where we begin planning for the year ahead. A significant impact to our planning is our student enrolments as this affects staffing and programs we deliver. Therefore:
CANTEEN HELPERS WANTED
Can you spare some time on a Friday morning to prepare lunch orders in the canteen?
We desperately need some help between 9-11am on a Friday.
If you can help, please contact the office and let us know. All help is greatly appreciated.
Father's Day Stall
Last Thursday we held our annual Father's Day Stall. We would like to thank our wonderful volunteers for their time in setting up the stall and supporting children throughout the day to make purchases. We hope that you enjoy the upcoming event this week with a special person in your life!
We hope that you enjoy the last two weeks of this term!
