Woodend Resume Workshop
Wednesday 1 October | 2pm – 5pm
Woodend Community Hall - 117 High Street, Woodend
A workshop that will run through the basics of resume writing, job applications, and the skills and knowledge that will benefit young people starting out in the workforce.

Teen Hour at Kyneton Toyota Sports & Aquatic Centre
Make the holidays count with Teen Hour in the gym! It’s all about fitness, fun, friends - and building confidence - all under the guidance of our fitness instructors.
Where: Kyneton Toyota Sports & Aquatic Centre, 4 Victoria Street, Kyneton.
When: Monday to Friday, 4pm - 5pm and Saturday, 10am - 11am.
Please note Teen Hour will not run on Friday 26 Sept due to a public holiday.
Cost: We offer a 10 Visit Pass for $90.90 or a casual visit for $10.10.
Teens: All teens (13-18 years) must complete and sign a participation form. For those under 16, the form must also be signed by a parent/guardian for approval.

Citizen Science Adventure for Kids
Tuesday 30 September | 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm
Meet at the Macedon Ranges Shire Council Gisborne Office Car Park, Gisborne
Join us for a fun filled treasure hunt these school holidays as we explore the beautiful Jacksons Creek and Gisborne Botanic Gardens!
Can you discover an animal you've never seen before? Spot a colourful bird in the trees? Hear a frog calling from the reeds?
Together we’ll walk by the creek and through the gardens, using our treasure hunt cards to spot birds, bugs, frogs and more. This is a great chance for kids to connect with nature, learn about local wildlife, and become mini citizen scientists!
Bring a hat, water bottle, and your sense of adventure.
Parents and carers must stay for the duration of the event.

Wildlife Shows at Hanging Rock
1 & 2 October 2025 | Hanging Rock
Take a walk on the wild side with TV personality and Zoologist Chris Humfrey and the Wild Action Zoo team, these upcoming Spring school holidays at Hanging Rock, Macedon Ranges. Join us on 1 and 2 October 2025, for the ultimate wildlife experience in the most magnificent setting. In these ‘Family-friendly’ interactive shows (being held at 10:00am and 12:30pm each day), you will come face-to-face with a HUGE array of the cool climate-living wildlife who call this beautiful region home! Chris Humfrey has been a local to this region for 23 years, and his knowledge, enthusiastic approach to conversation and education is contagious. Learn about each animal’s classification, adaptations, habitats, diet, threats and ecological niche. Chris will discuss ways in which we can all make a positive difference to protecting biodiversity. Meet some incredible Macedon Ranges ‘local denizens’ up close and personal, along with a few very special scaly, feathery, furry guests!
All tickets are $30 per person, children ages 2 and under are free.
Bookings for the wildlife show are essential; places are limited and selling fast.
Inflatable pool fun
