Principals Report

What a fantastic fortnight it has been at Monash SDS!

We’ve had a wonderful time celebrating Science Week, with classrooms buzzing with exciting experiments and curious minds. From bubbling reactions to hands-on investigations, our students were fully engaged and eager to explore the wonders of science. A big thank you to all staff involved in making these experiences so meaningful and fun.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to be celebrating Book Week next week. Keep an eye out in the next newsletter for some lovely photos as we embrace the joy of reading and storytelling across the school.

A heartfelt thank you to our Parent Group for organising such a beautiful Staff Appreciation Morning Tea and Lunch. We are so grateful to all the families who contributed—your generosity helped make every staff member feel truly valued and recognised. It was deeply appreciated by all.

We are also thrilled to introduce the newest member of our school community—Patrick the rabbit! Patrick has already captured the hearts of students and staff alike. Our students have loved meeting him and taking turns feeding him crunchy carrots and leafy lettuce during lunch. He’s quickly become a much-loved part of our school family.

And as the days begin to get longer and a little warmer, we’re reminded that spring is just around the corner. There’s a renewed sense of energy and excitement in the air, and we’re all looking forward to more sunshine, outdoor learning, and fresh beginnings.

Warm regards,

Sandra Battisti
