St Mary of The Cross Mackillop

Today we celebrate the life of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, Australia’s first saint.

Mary MacKillop is a true inspiration to us all—a woman of deep faith, courage, and strength. She dedicated her life to helping others and lived by the powerful motto:"Never see a need without doing something about it." Imagine having the courage to live like Mary, to stand up for others, to act with compassion, and to be brave in living out your love for Jesus.

If you haven’t yet had the chance to visit the Mary MacKillop Heritage Centre in Melbourne, we encourage you to do so. It’s a remarkable experience to walk through her story, learn about her mission, and witness the impact she continues to have on generations today.

May we be inspired by Mary’s example as we strive to live with kindness, courage, and faith.
