Boarders’ Health

We continue to have a couple of boarders with cold symptoms and others with 24-hour vomiting, which the Health Centre and Boarding are managing. All students with symptoms are in their own room or cubicle to reduce the chance of spreading.

Medication

A reminder that no boarding student is to hold medication in their room. This includes paracetamol, ibuprofen, cold and flu medication, antihistamine and vitamins. Any personal student medication will be named and held in the First Aid Room for dispensing as required.

Please note, we hold all the above medication in stock which will be dispensed by the School Nurse or appropriate boarding staff. Therefore, boarding students are not required to supply their own standard non-prescribed medication.

Driving

A reminder, if boarders require any driving, as per our conditions in the Boarding Handbook, please complete the Boarder Transport Application Form and return toboarding@clayfield.qld.edu.autwo weeks before the request.

Please note, health appointments are made by advice from our Health Centre and do not require the completion of this Boarder Transport Application Form.

When our students are in-house, our Student Hub is always a hive oactivity with boarders enjoying making cookies, brownies, whatever they desire, and the pool table, table-tennis table and backyard are also very popular.
