Exciting International Tour Opportunities for 2027 – Parent Information Evenings

We are pleased to announce two exciting international learning opportunities for Pittwater House students in 2027.

 

International tours provide students with invaluable experiences that extend beyond the classroom, fostering independence, resilience, global awareness and lifelong memories. We invite interested students and their families to attend our upcoming online information evenings to learn more about these exceptional opportunities.

 

Japan STEM Tour – September 2027

 

Open to Students in Years 8–11 in 2027

This unique STEM-focused tour will take students to Japan, one of the world's leading centres for innovation, technology and scientific advancement. Students will explore cutting-edge STEM industries, engage with Japanese culture and history, and experience first-hand how innovation shapes modern society.

 

The tour is being delivered in partnership with Educating Adventures, a specialist educational travel provider with extensive experience in school-based international programs and recognised industry safety accreditations.

Nepal Adventure and Cultural Tour – December 2027

 

Open to Students in Years 10–11 in 2027

Nepal offers students an extraordinary opportunity to experience a culture unlike any other while developing confidence, resilience and global perspectives. From spectacular mountain landscapes to rich cultural experiences and community engagement opportunities, this tour promises to be both challenging and rewarding.

 

Students will have the opportunity to step outside their comfort zone, build lasting friendships and gain experiences that will stay with them long after the tour concludes. This tour will cover the Adventurous Journey and Residential Project for Gold Duke of Edinburgh Students.

  • 9 December - DAY 1 DEPART SYDNEY/ARRIVE IN KATHMANDU 
  • 10 December - DAY 2 TRIP and SAFETY BRIEFING. EXPLORE KATHMANDU 
  • 11 December - DAY 3 FLY TO POKHARA, BOAT & WALK TO PEACE PAGODA 
  • 12 December - DAY 4 COMMENCE TREK TO GHANDRUK 
  • 13 December - DAY 5 TREK TO TADAPANI 
  • 14 December - DAY 6 TREK TO GHOREPANI 
  • 15 December - DAY 7 EARLY MORNING VISIT POONHILL AND TREK TO ULLERI 
  • 16,17,18,19 December - DAYS 8-11 TREK TO JHILBRANG, COMMENCE SERVICE PROJECT 
  • 20 December - DAY 12 TREK TO BIRETHANI, DRIVE TO POKHARA 
  • 21 December - DAY 13 FLY TO KATHMANDU 
  • 22 December - DAY 14 DEPART KATHMANDU 
  • 23 December - DAY 15 ARRIVE SYDNEY

 

Face-to-Face Information Evening Thursday 6 August 6:00pm – Great Hall

The information evenings will cover:

  • Proposed itineraries and key experiences
  • Educational outcomes and tour objectives
  • Costs and payment schedules
  • Safety, supervision and risk management processes
  • Registration and application details
  • Opportunities to ask questions of staff and tour representatives

 

These tours represent more than just travel opportunities. They are carefully designed educational experiences that help students develop independence, cultural understanding, leadership skills and a broader appreciation of the world around them.

 

We encourage all interested students and their families to attend the relevant information evening and explore how these exciting opportunities could become a highlight of their Pittwater House journey.

 

In addition, it is our intention to run our Biannual Tour to New Caledonia in 2027, this tour is targeted at our Years 10 and 11 French students. We would also like to highlight our intention to run a History Tour to Europe in April 2028. While we are still confirming details of these and other potential tour opportunities beyond April 2028, we wanted families to have information regarding all options identified to date to assist with future planning.
