Mrs Bronwyn Underwood

Dear Parents and Carers,

🏆 Annual Athletics Carnival Success!

Yesterday, we enjoyed a fabulous day in Gunnedah for our annual Athletics Carnival.

A huge thank you to all of our parents, grandparents and carers who came along to support and to the many helpers among you who made the day run smoothly.

I would also like to extend a special thanks to Ms Emma Martin and Ms Bronwyn Newton for once again organising and coordinating such a fantastic event.

Finally, congratulations to all of our students for competing, showing great sportsmanship and taking part in the day. Well done, everyone! 🥇🏃‍♂️

🏕️ Student Spotlight: Ollie’s Diocese Camp Adventure

Last week, Ollie H attended the Wii-Gaay camp at Coffs Harbour. Ollie had a fabulous week connecting with like-minded students from all across the Diocese.

Below is a short recount that Ollie wrote about his fantastic experience:

On Monday I hopped on the bus to Coffs Harbour with kids from other schools and we went to Coffs Coast Adventure Centre for a week-long learning hub. That night we played, Minute To Win It and had dinner. Each morning we started the day with boot camp. On Tuesday we had an on Country Day, we had a liturgy on the beach, we also visited Yarraila Place Museum where we learnt about culture and history. I made a bracelet out of Palm Tree bark and we learnt how to throw a boomerang. On Wednesday and Thursday we were learning how to write a book. We researched animals for our book and then presented the work that we did to everyone in the group. We had a competition night on Wednesday for State of Origin. We played laser tag and watched the footy. On Thursday night we had a movie night. We travelled home on Friday. I had such a great time and made some new friends.

Well done Ollie!

Enjoy a fabulous weekend,

Bronwyn
