Caritas Fundraiser – Walking Through Lent with Generosity ✝️💜

As part of our Lenten journey, our school community is proudly supporting Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion. During this sacred season, we are called to live out the three pillars of Lent, prayer, fasting and almsgiving as we grow closer to Christ and respond to the needs of our global brothers and sisters.

Each family has received a Project Compassion box to collect coins at home. While adults often choose to give something up during Lent, we encourage our students to reflect on how they can give back in love and service. One meaningful way children can live out the Gospel call to almsgiving is through acts of kindness within the home.

We invite students to earn their donations by:

• Helping with extra chores
• Supporting family members around the house
• Showing kindness and patience with siblings

• Offering to help parents or grandparents

   

In doing so, students are not simply giving money, they are putting their faith into action and living the true spirit of Lent through service, compassion and generosity, just as Jesus calls us to do. Students should fill their Caritas boxes at home throughout Lent and then return the completed boxes to school by Wednesday 26th March.
