Celebration Spot
Honouring and celebrating our student's achievements
Each week we love to celebrate any students who may have achieved something significant during the past week; sporting events, dancing, baptisms, theatre, music achievements, new babies etc. both inside school and outside school.
Please email reception@dcs.tas.edu.au with the details (we would love a photo too!) so we can celebrate together as a community.
Congratulations to the following students for receiving the DCS School Wide Way Winner awards this week!

Last weekend, Alfie (Year 9) and Olly (Year 7) competed in the state championships for swimming. Both boys did very well, with Alfie qualify to compete at the Australian Age Championships on the Gold Coast in April. This competition is for Australia’s fastest swimmers 17 and under. The qualifying times are extremely fast and hard to achieve. Alfie will be competing in the 50m butterfly and 100m butterfly and potentially a couple of relay races. Alfie has also received another national time for his 100m butterfly. What an achievement!
Well done to both boys and wishing you well for the Nationals in April, Alfie!

On Saturday, Chloe (Year 4) and Maybelle (Year 7) competed in the Don Market 50th Anniversary Talent Quest singing 2 songs each for the Junior section, with Chloe taking first prize and Maybelle taking second place.
Chloe sung Fight Song and This Girl Is On Fire, and Maybelle sang Hallelujah and My Way. Well done girls!
