Water safety over the school holidays

It’s going to be a warm one with lots of our families heading to the beach/ pools to keep cool! Surf Life Saving Australia’s Beachsafe has a website SLSA Beachsafe where you can view a location and the closest patrolled beaches (available in 132 languages – click on the ‘Select language’ tab).

This information is also available in an app which you can download from the above Beachsafe website. The app includes videos with tips for visiting Australian beaches, in 8 languages: English, Arabic, Hindi, Korean, Japanese, Malay, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. Food Technology - Term 2

As we go into Term 2 this year it's very exciting to have our grades 3-6 studying food technology.

In the first few weeks, techniques and kitchen safety are being taught then students will be cooking simple recipes during their class-time.

Should your child have any undisclosed food intolerances or allergies, it is crucial to advise your child’s teacher or sickbay as soon as possible so we may manage these risks for all our students.
