Principal's message

St Monica's is a child-safe school.

We promote the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all students.

Celebrating St Monica’s Feast Day!

Our school community came together for a wonderful day of prayer, reflection, and community spirit to celebrate St Monica’s Feast Day.

As our patron saint, St Monica models patience, persistence, hope, and unwavering love for her family. Throughout the day, our staff and students reflected on her values and explored how we can bring her example of kindness, resilience, and faith into our daily lives.

Thanks to Fr. Jackson for celebrating the mass with us, Anthony Chalkley for the day's preparation and organisation and all the staff, students and families who made the celebration so special.

Book Week

Thank you to our entire school community for making this year’s Book Week Parade such a vibrant celebration of reading and creativity!

Our school came alive as students and staff stepped straight out of the pages of their favorite stories. From beloved classics to modern adventures, the quality and imagination behind every costume—and the big smiles on parade—made it a truly memorable morning.

A Huge Thank You: To our parents, carers, and family members who joined us to cheer and for all the effort spent preparing costumes at home!

Behind the Scenes: A special shout-out to Belinda Christy for organising the colouring competition and Where's Wally class contest. We have students scouring the yard throughout the week in search of that hard to find man!

Encouraging a love of reading is one of the greatest gifts we can give our students, and seeing their enthusiasm throughout the week was wonderful. Check out some of the highlight photos below!

Enrolments

We are currently planning for 2027. We have had exceptional interest in enrolments for Foundation 2027 and currently have a wait list for some families.

At this point, we also have limited space within some of our other classrooms so I urge anyone who might know of someone interested in coming across to St Monica's in 2027 to contact our office ASAP, as not to miss out.

Foundation Interviews 2027

Interview times for Foundation 2027 families have been sent - Booking details can be found here --->  BOOKINGS

PSG Meetings

Bookings for PSG Meetings will be communicated to the relevant families.  Meetings will take place in the last few weeks of Term 3.

Catholic Athletics

Congratulations to all the students who participtated in the Catholic Athletics at Quarry Hill last week.  All the best to the children who made it through to the next stages.

Orima Surveys

Our school undertakes an annual survey to gather the thoughts and feelings of students, families and staff about how our school can improve. These surveys help inform the ongoing improvement of schools across the Diocese of Sandhurst.

Surveys are sent randomly to families - we encourage members of our school community to take part and have your voice heard — further details on how to participate will follow soon.

The Power of Sleep

"Sleep is not a luxury for young people. It is a biological necessity. Without adequate sleep, learning, emotional regulation, mental health and healthy development are all significantly compromised."
