Mental Health Month
October is Mental Health Month and Emerging Minds encourage us to take some simple steps to support children’s mental health and wellbeing.
They could be:
- Going on walks together and collecting treasures
- Singing, playing and reading together
- Celebrating the small wins and praising your child
- Moving together
- Listening to them and their stories
Try some of these with your child and enjoy the moments of connection.
Mental Health Month is also a chance to promote activities and ideas that can have a positive impact on our daily lives and the lives of others. These events and messages are tied together with a specific theme, and this year’s theme is 'Connect with your Community.'

Introducing ConnectUs.
