Library Parent Volunteers

Do you have 15 minutes to spare before school?

Our library is looking for parent volunteers to help return books to the shelves and give the shelves a quick tidy. Even a short amount of time makes a big difference and helps keep our library organised and ready for students to enjoy.

If you are able to help, please pop into the library before school and speak with our library staff. We would love to see you there!

Parent–Teacher Interviews

Parent–Teacher Interviews will be held on Tuesday 24 March in the school hall.

Bookings can be made through SOBS.

If you are unable to secure a suitable time with your child’s teacher, please feel free to contact them directly to arrange an alternative meeting time.

We look forward to connecting with families and sharing your child’s learning progress.

QParents

From Term 2, our school will be using QParents for all consent forms.

If you do not yet have a QParents account, please keep an eye on your email inbox for an invitation code and set up your account as soon as possible.

We will have a QParents information booth available at the Parent–Teacher Interviews if you have questions or need help setting up your account.

Did You Know? – The Power of Reading at Home

Reading at home is one of the most effective ways to support your child’s learning. Just 10–15 minutes of reading each day can make a significant difference to a child’s vocabulary, comprehension, and confidence.

Home readers are borrowed during your child’s weekly library session. It is important that students bring their library bag to protect the books and return their readers once they have been read. This helps ensure that home reading remains a consistent and ongoing practice.

Some simple ways to support reading at home include:

  • Listening to your child read
  • Reading a book together
  • Talking about the story and characters
  • Asking your child what their favourite part was

Making reading part of your daily routine helps children develop a lifelong love of books and learning.

Bike Safety Reminder

We would like to remind all members of our school community that riding bikes (including e-bikes) on school grounds is not permitted.

This is an important safety measure to protect our students and families during busy drop-off and pick-up times.

Parents and students must walk their bikes through the school gates and only ride once they have exited the school grounds.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping us keep our school safe for all

students.

Kiss n Go Procedures

For the safety and efficiency of our Kiss and Go drop-off and pick-up zone, we kindly ask all parents and carers to remain in their vehicles at all times.

This area is designed for quick drop-offs and collections to keep traffic flowing smoothly. Please do not exit your car in this zone. If your child is unable to independently open the car door or get in and out of the vehicle, we ask that you park in a designated parking space and walk your child to or from the school instead.

Your cooperation helps ensure the process remains safe and efficient for all families. Thank you for your support.
