Pupil Free Days in June

King's birthday on Monday 8th June.

Curriculum Day on Tuesday 9th June.

Interviews on Friday 26th June.

On Tuesday, our teachers and Education Support (ES) staff will participate in our Term 2 Curriculum Day. Staff will continue to develop their knowledge of the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0. Teachers will also work collaboratively to continue moderating assessment data for Semester 1 reports. Over the following weeks, staff will continue this moderation process to ensure consistent and comparable judgements of student achievement against the Victorian Curriculum standards.

Student reports  Interviews

We will be providing student achievement reports for Semester 1 this year as usual.

The reports will be avaiable via XUNO on the 19th June.

The reports will continue to provide important details about student learning attainment, but full descriptive comments will not be included as a result of industrial action taken earlier this term by the Australian Education Union.

To compensate for no comments we have scheduled 2 parent teacher interviews opportunities to share your childs progress-

Monday 22nd June 3:30-5:30pm and Friday 26th June 8:30-12:30pm.

Please note students will not attend classes on the Friday (last day of term) but should attend with their parents to the interview. More information regarding booking will be available in the coming weeks.

National Simutaneous Story Time

On Wednesday the 27th of May, Rochester Primary School once again took part in the 26th annual National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS).

The national read along took place at 12pm, with schools and communities across Australia joining together to share the same story at the same time. This year’s book, Luna Roo: The Kangaroo Baller, written by Adam Wallace and Adrian Beck and illustrated by Jake Minton, follows the spirited kangaroo Luna and her friends as they chase their football dreams across the outback, celebrating teamwork, determination and plenty of fun along the way.
