From the Principal

Dear families,
The Year 5/6 students boarded the bus and headed down to Mount Eliza yesterday. They were full of energy and from all reports are having a wonderful time. We will share all of our camp photos in the newsletter next week.
I would like to make a special mention to the small group of students who represented our school at the Divisional Cross Country Carnival on Tuesday. We now have 4 students progressing through to the Regional Carnival. Grayson (1st) and Avery (4th) both in Year 4, Payton (7th) and Violet (10th) both from Year 6 are progressing through. We also had Florence (29th) and Ellira (30th) who missed out on the next round. Well done to these students. We wish them all the best as they move through to Regionals.
Just a note for families that the school will be closed on Monday, 8th of June for the King's Birthday Public Holiday.
Kids Cast - School Podcasting:
On Thursday we have some staff from Kids Cast coming to show our school leaders their Podcasting platform. Our School Captains have been thinking of ways to increase student voice at the school (including a student newsletter). We will have a trial with the podcasting system and see if it is something we can introduce here at STM. We may need some support with some fundraising drives, but I will provide more details as they come to hand.

Well done Eliza!!!
As you are all aware Eliza (Yr 6) led a drive for donations to be provided to a local women's refuge. On Monday a Parishioner from the Belgrave Parish came and collected what the school had raised. Well done for your work and effort Eliza.
We need you - St Thomas More Feast Day Mass @ St Thomas More Parish:
As per the NForma form sent out today, we are seeking students and their families to attend Sunday Mass on Sunday, June 21st to help celebrate St Thomas More Feast Day in the Parish. Students from the school will be invited onto the altar to sing our school song for the concluding hymn. Mass will begin at 10:00am, some STM staff will also be attending the service.
