Principal's Message

Dear Community,

As we move towards the end of another busy and productive term, I would like to thank our school community for your continued support and involvement in school life.

Our Winter Woolies Appeal has been a wonderful success, with many generous donations received from families. These contributions will help support those in need during the colder months and reflect the caring spirit of our St Mary's community. The accompanying extra-comfortable day was thoroughly enjoyed by students, who embraced the opportunity to stay warm while supporting an important cause.

Today, our school gathered to celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart with a beautiful whole-school Mass. Thank you to all students, staff and families who helped make this a meaningful celebration of our faith and values. It was wonderful to come together in prayer and reflection as a school community.

We also enjoyed another successful school assembly led by our Grade 2/3/4 students. Assemblies continue to provide valuable opportunities for us to gather, celebrate learning, share achievements and strengthen our sense of community. Thank you to the students and staff for their preparation and presentation.

This week, on Monday 15 June, we welcome Gemma Goodyear, who will begin a handover in to the role as Acting Principal for the remainder of the year. Over the next two weeks, I will be completing a thorough handover with Gemma to ensure a smooth transition. I know you will make Gemma feel very welcome, just as you did when I first arrived at St Mary's. I am confident that she will enjoy becoming part of our wonderful school community.
