TheirCare News

Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to Week 2 of Term 1.

We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.

Can you believe it? We are in week 2 already, our theme for this week is “Summer”. This week was filled with so much fun and exciting activities! Due to the extreme weather, we spent our afternoons playing lots of card games and group games including UNO, 21 and spoons. We also got creative with arts and craft activities making curly paper octopuses, watermelon fans and ice cream cones, whilst others enjoyed relaxing and quiet reading. In the construction corner we enjoyed creating things using Lego blocks and playing with the Hot Wheels car tracks. It was amazing to see the kids demonstrating their creativity and imagination skills! In the morning, we played group games like Silent Ball, Dead Fish and Night Guard.

PUPIL OF THE WEEK

This week’s Pupil of the Week is Lucy De Maid, for always using her initiative to help during pack-up time and her willingness to assist others when needed! Well done Lucy!! You should be very proud of yourself.
