Term 4 - Week 8

Deputy Principal’s Report

Thank You

Thank you to everyone who has come along and introduced themselves and made me feel very welcomed into the St. Kilian’s School Community.

Also, a huge thank you to Miggy for helping me get the lay of the land. We are currently diligently working together to ensure that 2025 finishes on a positive note and that all is in place for a successful start to 2026. I am really hopeful that we can share more details as to how this will look next week.

Tabloid Sports

Thank you to all our families who came along to cheer on the students at our Tabloid Sports Day - it was wonderful to see so many of you supporting the fun. Our students brought incredible joy, energy and teamwork to every activity, and we are so proud of the way they participated.

A huge thank-you to Alana for her coordination, and to our junior and senior teachers for guiding and supporting students throughout the day. Our senior students also shone, leading each station with enthusiasm and helping bring the fun to life for everyone.

School Christmas Fair

A heartfelt thank-you to our amazing P&F for their hard work in organising this year’s Christmas Fair - it was a fantastic day full of joy, community spirit, and festive fun. We were grateful to have so many volunteers and helpers who cooked, served, set up, packed up, and supported activities throughout the day.

A special thank-you to the generous sponsors who contributed wonderful raffle prizes; we encourage families to support these local businesses where possible. Congratulations to all our raffle winners and thank you to everyone who made this day so special for our St Kilian’s community.

School Christmas Fair – Note from P&F

2025 Christmas Fair - What an absolutely wonderful, incredible, amazing, fun day!

We have so many people to thank who made this day the extravaganza it was, but first and foremost it was the dedicated and passionate friends who joined me on the P&F - Abbey, Elisha, Sharelle and Kim. This was pulled together by just five of us, imagine what we could achieve with more hands in 2026! Want to be part of the fun? Reach out to join the P&F!

Our amazing sponsors who donated such incredible prizes for our raffle. Check out the QR codes and support their local businesses!

Kelly Sports for keeping the kids entertained all day with a huge range of activities! The kids really enjoyed being able to play and the parents enjoyed time to sit and chill!

Our stall holders who helped add the little extra sparkle! Our families loved being able to have a mini shop while the kids were having a ball outside, and we loved having you.

To all our incredible volunteers on the day!  If you manned an activity, cooked food, served food and drinks, sold baked goods and raffle tickets, or stayed late to help us pack up and everything else in between we very much appreciate your contribution.

Anyone who donated supplies for the day, vouchers for the raffle or to purchase supplies or baked goods, you are amazing and we were overwhelmed by the number of donations received.

Thanks to Santa and his Elf for your visit and the little helpers for handing out icy poles.

And lastly, to everyone who came along, thanks so much for being part of our school community! Here’s to growing bigger and brighter in 2026! If you have any feedback we would love to hear it!

St Kilian’s School Christmas Concert

St Kilian’s is excited to present our Christmas Concert on Thursday 27 November at The Shed (St Francis of the Fields PS, Strathfieldsaye). All families are warmly invited to join us for this special celebration. Each class will perform a song, concluding with a whole-school showcase. The first performance begins at 6:30 pm, with students and families welcome to arrive from 6:00 pm. We look forward to sharing this joyful evening with you.

Pupil Free Day

A reminder that Friday 28 November is a Pupil Free Day for Report Writing. Thank you for your support as staff complete this important work.

Transition & Orientation – 2026 Foundation

Thank you to the families who joined us for our second Foundation transition session. It was wonderful to meet new faces and spend time together as we prepare for 2026. Special thanks to Elisha and Percy & Percy for generously providing morning tea and coffees for our gathering.

Our Orientation Day will be held on Tuesday 9 December, which will include a more formal information session for parents in the Multipurpose Room.

2026 Students

Planning for the 2026 school year is now underway. If your child (currently in Prep to Year 5) will be leaving St Kilian’s at the end of this year—except for our graduating Year 6 class—please inform the school via email or letter as soon as possible. Early communication greatly assists us in staffing and class organisation for the year ahead.

Thank you for your support.
