PRAYER
Christ Jesus,
I acknowledge You to be the King of the universe;
all that has been made has been created for You.
Exercise over me all Your sovereign rights.
I hereby renew the promises of my Baptism,
renouncing Satan and all his glamour and works,
and I promise from this moment to lead a truly Christian life.
In particular, I commit to bringing about the triumph
of the rights of God and Your Church. Divine Heart of Jesus,
I offer You my poor actions so that every heart may acknowledge
Your Sacred Kingly Power.
May the Kingdom of Your peace be –
firmly established throughout all the earth.
Amen.
From the Principal
Dear Families,
School Advisory Council Annual General Meeting
I take this opportunity to acknowledge the parents who have been members of the School Advisory Council (SAC) this year. The SAC plays a significant role in supporting the spiritual and educational welfare of all students at St Philip’s. I thank the members for their wisdom and ongoing support offered across all aspects of school life. Next week, Thursday 27 November, we will gather for the Annual General Meeting. Parents from all families are encouraged to attend the AGM and stay for a catch up following the meeting while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee or a glass of wine. Please contact me if you are interested in joining the SAC in 2026 or if you would like to know more about it.
Parents and Friends Committee
Thanks also to the members of our Parents and Friends Committee (P&F) this year. Their contribution to tuckshop, Mother’s and Father’s Day stalls is always appreciated. The committee will meet again for a ‘Wine and Cheese’ night on Thursday 11 December at 7.00pm. Please join us for this social event and let me know if you are interested in joining the committee next year. An active P&F committee allows families the opportunity to play a valuable part in providing social and fundraising activities.
Prep 2026 Orientation
Next week we have our third of four, Prep 2026 Orientation sessions. Our eleven students will also attend our Transition Day on Monday 15 December, There are two more sessions planned for the new students to enable them to become acquainted with the school. They will also attend on Thursday 12 December when students from Grades Prep to Five will meet their 2026 classroom teachers.
Best wishes,
Michelle Worcester
Principal
JUMP ROPE for HEART
This year our school is participating in Jump Rope for Heart – a fantastic physical activity and fundraising program by the Heart Foundation that has been running for over 40 years.
Students will be practising skipping at school and will be taught new techniques and tricks. We encourage students to also practise at home.
Our Jump Off Skipping Showcase Day will be held on Thursday 4th December at 2.30pm. Our whole school will come together to celebrate and put on a great skipping display.
We warmly welcome our school community to come along and watch the children and support the cause.
Since Jump Rope for Heart started in 1983, schools like ours have raised more than $111 million for the Heart Foundation’s lifesaving work. Jump Rope for Heart is a great way for your child to keep fit and learn new skills, but it also helps raise funds for vital heart research and education programs.
To make fundraising easy we will ask for a gold coin donation from each student. All money raised will be donated to the Heart Foundation. Children are encouraged to wear a "Touch of Red".
Thank you for supporting the Jump Rope for Heart program!
Yr 6 - Brendan McCole Memorial Race
