Balmoral State High School invites parents and carers to an upcoming Digital Wellbeing for Families Workshop facilitated by Leah.

 

In an increasingly connected world, this session will explore practical strategies to support young people in building healthy, balanced digital habits at home.

Brisbane Bookfest Returns These School Holidays

Looking for an affordable family outing these school holidays? Brisbane Bookfest is returning to the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre this June/July with more than one million pre-loved books, games and puzzles available to browse and purchase.

 

Run by Lifeline Queensland, every purchase made at Bookfest helps support Lifeline’s 24/7 Crisis Support Services, providing support to people when they need it most.

 

Families can explore a huge range of genres and hidden treasures while supporting an important community cause.

Term 3 Book Week Dress Up Day - Favourite Childhood Character

 

Get ready, everyone! Tuesday 25th August (Term 3 Week 7) is our confirmed date for the 2026 Book Week Dress Up Day. Which character did you love as a kid? It's time to relive your childhood dream of BEING them. This is what our students have voted for as this year's theme. We can't wait!

There’s an exciting lineup of Careers Program events coming up across Terms 2 and 3, designed to help students explore pathways, future opportunities, and career possibilities beyond school. Families are encouraged to lock these important dates into the calendar!

These events are fantastic opportunities for students and families to gain valuable advice, explore future pathways, and start planning for life beyond school.


Year 12 First Aid Short Course

Our Year 12 students have been invited to enrol in a short course in First Aid provided by CTSC Pty Ltd, to be completed early Term 3. This course has a cost of $80 per enrolment and will provide not only valuable life skills, but it also may contribute two credits towards the students QCE. All Year 12 students will be invoiced and are strongly encouraged to participate. Please ensure students read notices and emails for up coming information and enrolment procedures.
