Dear Families, Students and Community Members,

Mordialloc College Student Leadership

On 27th October, students nominated themselves for our 2026 Mordialloc College Student Council’s Year 12 and Middle School Leadership positions.

The process involved a short presentation to all students and staff, interviews with school leadership, and a student vote. We take choosing our future leaders very seriously! A huge congratulations to all of our candidates who presented to their peers and teachers in the Leadership Assembly, there were some wonderful speeches and it will be a very tough decision!

Information about roles will be shared with students in week 7.

World Teachers’ Day 2024: Friday October 31st

I started teaching in 2000, what seems like a lifetime ago! So many things have changed (can you believe that in my first year I had to teach using a chalkboard, and different coloured chalk was the height of sophistication?!!) but one thing has absolutely stayed the same, the utter enjoyment that every day working with young people brings to my life.

Whilst there continue to be ups and downs in the profession, World Teachers Day is about celebrating the amazing work of teachers because when done well, teaching has the power to positively transform the lives of children.

World Teachers' Day is an opportunity to say thank you to the teachers who continue to make a positive difference today, and everyday to your family. I hope you will feel able to join me in thanking the Mordialloc College teachers who do an amazing job with your child and, thank you to those families who reach out to us acknowledging the great work that so many of our staff do every day, it is always a pleasure to hear good news from you.
