Let's Arrive On Time — Every Day Counts at Banyan Fields!

At Banyan Fields Primary School, we’re committed to helping every child start their day feeling connected, confident, and ready to learn.

🕒 School starts at 8:45am.

🧑‍🏫Classroom lessons begin at 9:00am sharp.

🕞School finishes at 3:10pm.

Late Arrivals:

Any student arriving after 8:45am must be signed in at the office by a parent or guardian to receive a late pass.

Students who are regularly late will be supported by the school in partnership with families, with follow-up calls and encouragement.

Being late means students miss important moments with their teacher, their classmates, and the start of learning for the day. 

📩 If your child is absent, please log it via Compass or email: absence@bfps.vic.edu.au

📅 For long-term absences (like holidays), please inform the office and your child’s teacher in advance via a note, phone call, or email.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Tips for Supporting Attendance at Home:

• Try to avoid appointments or holidays during school hours or term time. 
• Talk to your child about their day and what they’re learning.
• Celebrate good attendance — arriving on time is a win! 
• Keep daily routines consistent — especially mornings.
• Have a set time for breakfast to start the day smoothly.

If you have received an attendance letter sent home, please return it as soon as possible.

These letters are essential for updating your student’s attendance records accurately.
