✨ WELCOME TO 2026! ✨
A very warm welcome from the Parents and Carers Committee (P&C)! To all our Prep families and those new to the school this year, we’re so glad you’re here and can’t wait to get to know you as part of our wonderful school community.
What is the P&C?
The Parents and Carers Committee (P&C) is a subcommittee of the School Council, made up of volunteer parents and carers from our school community, alongside a School Council representative. Together, we work to support the school and help make it an even better place for students, families and staff.
Last year, we raised just under $40,000 for the school! Can’t wait to smash the record this year!
What do we do?
The P&C supports the school by organising events and activities that build community and raise funds for important projects. Some of our much-loved events include:
- BBQs & whole-school breakfasts
- Coffee mornings
- Co-ops & bulk buys
- Comedy & trivia nights
- Mother’s & Father’s Day gift stalls and raffles
- Picnics and social gatherings
These events are as much about connection as they are about fundraising, and they’re always a lot of fun.
Why does the school fundraise?
While government funding covers the basics, it doesn’t stretch far enough to provide everything we’d love for our students. Funds raised by the P&C go directly back into the school, helping to enrich learning experiences and improve facilities.
Over the years, P&C fundraising has helped deliver:
- New home readers and library books
- Playground upgrades
- Sports equipment
- Additional psychology and speech pathology support
- New classrooms and learning resources
- A new library
- And many other exciting projects
Every contribution makes a real difference.
How can you get involved?
If you’re a parent or carer at the school, you’re already a member of the P&C! We encourage everyone to get involved in whatever way suits them, whether that’s coming to meetings, volunteering at events, or sharing ideas.
The P&C meets regularly (in person or online) to plan events and discuss upcoming projects. Meetings are a great way to stay informed, meet other families, and have a say in what we do.
You don’t need to take on a big role to help out. Even small contributions go a long way. You might like to:
- Help run an event (with plenty of support!)
- Cook or serve at a BBQ
- Make coffee at a coffee morning
- Bake for a fundraiser
- Donate items for a hamper or raffle
- Help with set-up or pack-up
- Share your ideas at a meeting
Every little bit helps, and all levels of involvement are welcome.
Why volunteer?
Volunteering with the P&C is a fantastic way to:
- Meet other parents and carers
- Build new skills
- Make our school an even better place for our kids
- Strengthen our local community
- Set a great example for students
- And feel pretty great doing it!
