Welcome to the 2026 school year at IPS! It has been wonderful to return to school and immediately feel and hear the positive buzz around the grounds. There is a real sense of excitement, connection and readiness for learning as students and staff settle back into routines.

We are very pleased to welcome three new students to our school community this year Darcy, Max and Katelyn. We extend a warm welcome to them and their families and look forward to getting to know you and sharing your learning journey at IPS. We also proudly welcome our seven new Foundation students, who have started the year with enthusiasm and curiosity. It has been a joy to see them exploring their classrooms and playground with such confidence.

I would like to acknowledge the incredible work of our staff. Considerable time and care has gone into setting up classrooms, preparing learning spaces and organising programs to ensure students feel safe, supported and excited about the year ahead. Their dedication and teamwork have ensured a smooth and positive start to 2026.

I would also like to sincerely thank everyone involved in renovating the school and preparing the grounds and learning spaces for our students. The improvements made over the break have created welcoming, functional and engaging environments that support both learning and wellbeing.

As we move into the term, there are a number of important dates and events coming up. Please take the time to check the Important Dates section so you can stay informed and involved in school activities.

Key Things to Note

• Lunch orders start next week. Students need to place their orders on Wednesday for Thursday delivery. Order slips are available outside the office.
• JSC Zooper Doopers will be on sale for 50 cents each.
• Breakfast Club starts this Thursday and will then run on Tuesdays and Thursdays moving forward.
• Library for Littles starts on Monday. Please note the date change due to additional kindergarten days.
