Deputy News - Student Leadership

Leadership in School

Leadership roles are important for building a strong school community. At St Joseph’s, every student from Prep to Year Six is encouraged to take part. Whether through classroom duties, student council, or special projects, each child has the chance to develop skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Involving all students in leadership helps build their confidence and prepares them to be responsible members of our school and wider community.

We would now like to introduce the SRC & Environment leadership team for Semester Two.

Student Representative Council

These leaders will work on several projects across the school in the second semester. They will collaborate with Miss Coldebella and Mrs Tobin on social justice initiatives and school safety policies, as well as provide student feedback.

Environment Leaders

Please join us in welcoming our Environment Leaders for Semester Two. These leaders will work closely with Miss Coldebella, Dillon, Miss Shanahan and Miss McLean on our sustainability programs at St Joseph’s. They will help in the garden, work with Bunnings on our vegetable garden, and monitor classroom activities to share Joey, our sustainability mascot, throughout the school.

Year Six Leadership

Finally, we’re pleased to highlight the great work our Year Six students are doing through their leadership initiatives. This term, they are involved in several projects, including:

  • School Tours
  • Years 4/5/6 Soccer Competition
  • Book Week
  • Father's Day Breakfast
  • Footy Day

We look forward to seeing these students do well in their leadership roles throughout the term.
