Ciao FWPS Community! 

This term parliamo Italiano!

Preps: We’re growing our Italian vocabulary while reading Pomodoro Penguin by Bryce Westervelt. Pomodoro, with friends Violet Owl and Falstaff Giraffe, travels across Italy in search of the best pasta, discovering cities and pasta varieties along the way.

Years 1 & 2: We’re reading Nonna by Frank Moyo, a bilingual tale celebrating love, wisdom, and traditions in a grandmother’s kitchen - where recipes are measured in handfuls of flour and stories are stirred into every pot.

Years 3 & 4: Students are using verbs and adverbs to talk about favourite activities and where they happen, exploring how to tell the time, and learning to identify masculine and feminine nouns in Italian.

Years 5 & 6: We’re exploring Italian culture through food and media - studying commercials, creating passata labels, and presenting persuasive ads to “sell” their products.
