Grade 5/6 Amazon Rainforest Bird Collages 

Students are learning about birds of the Amazon rainforest, with a focus on Brazilian species such as toucans and macaws. They are using photo references to observe shape, colour, and detail of these beautiful birds. Students are exploring collage techniques using a range of papers and textures and over a number of weeks will create a colourful bird collage that shows accurate features and strong visual impact. Students are developing skills in cutting, layering, and composition.
