Neurodiversity Week
Eliza Solly - Inclusion Leader
This week, we celebrated Neurodiversity Week at EPS. Throughout the week, students engaged in learning experiences that promoted understanding, inclusion and appreciation of the many ways people think, learn and experience the world.
Within Wellbeing lessons, students explored how the brain works, how people process information differently, and developed empathy for the unique traits of others. They engaged in interdisciplinary learning experiences that highlighted different approaches to tasks, celebrating individual interests, strengths and diverse thinking strategies. Students found these learning experiences highly impactful, demonstrating increased self confidence and pride in who they are.

Our staff also participated by sharing how they learn best, helping students recognise that everyone has unique strengths, preferences and ways of processing information.
Neurodiversity Week at EPS contributed to our supportive school community, where students feel valued, supported and have a strong sense of belonging. We look forward to continuing to grow and evolve the celebration and understanding of neurodiversity in the coming years.
