Blessed Edmund Rice Day & Fun Run for India
Friday, 8 May 2026
Blessed Edmund Rice Day brings the school community together to commemorate and celebrate our history and charism as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition. The focus of the day is on service to others, where students are introduced to the local charity organisation that they will support throughout the year.
As part of the day's celebrations, which will take place on Friday 8 May, students will also participate in the Fun Run for India! All funds raised from Fun Run for India sponsorship will be directed to projects in India. These include:
MITHRA in Chennai: a home and school for disabled children who would otherwise be neglected due to poverty and the social stigma associated with disability.
Jagruti High School in Mandal: a school for children from the tribal community of Gamit People, people with the lowest social status in India.
Jim McGinnis’ work on the railway stations of Kolkata Feeding and clothing and consoling the poorest of the poor.
Christian Brothers’ work with the poor in Kolkata, providing education, support to disadvantaged/underprivileged families and outreach to those most in need.
Families and members of the wider community are invited to sponsor a runner, to help raise funds for these worthy causes.
Year 8 Grandparents' Morning Tea events
Year 8 families are asked to save the date for the annual Grandparents’ Morning Tea events, at which our students will share a the morning with their grandparents (or other close relative/elderly friend other than parents, if grandparents are unavailable).
This is a special opportunity for grandparents to share the morning with their grandsons and the TC community. The event will include an informal tour of the College with students acting as guides, musical performances, a special Mass, and a delicious morning tea.
Dates:
PCGs 8.1 - 8.4: Tuesday, 12 May
PCGs 8.5 - 8.8: Thursday, 14 May
Time: 8.45am – 10.45am
Venue: Trinity College (meet at the Chapel on arrival)
Registrations
Registrations are required for this event. Please be advised that students may only bring a maximum of two (2) guests to their allocated event, due to venue capacity limits, and the need to comfortably accommodate guests. Thank you for your understanding.
If a student is not bringing a guest, they will still attend Mass and Morning Tea; their Head of Year will guide them as to where to sit at both parts of the event. They are still required to register.
Volunteer request
To ensure these events run smoothly, we humbly request volunteer assistance. There are multiple opportunities to volunteer, each requiring a different number of helpers.

Pink Sock Day
#PullUpYourSocks
In week 2.4, TC will take part in our 11th annual Pink Sock Day fundraiser in support of the McGrath Foundation!
For 20 years, the Foundation focused on the provision of care and service specifically towards people with breast cancer; now, the Foundation has taken its care to all cancers. The TC Pink Sock Day campaign will not only help educate our TC men to demonstrate a greater awareness and appreciation towards health - for women and men - but will also help raise vital funds to support the McGrath Foundation's work in providing free care and support to all people experiencing cancer and their family.
More information about how students, staff, and the wider TC community can get involved during our TC vs Aquinas fixture will be shared in due course. In the meantime, families are welcome to donate directly to our dedicated McGrath Foundation fundraising page.
Trinity Sunday Mass
TC Old Boys, current families, staff and the wider community are invited to attend the annual Trinity Sunday Mass and Morning Tea, to be held on Sunday, 31 May. This is an important date on the Liturgical calendar as it celebrates the Christian doctrine of the Trinity, the three Persons of God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Mass will commence at 9.00am in the Trinity College Chapel, and will be followed by a light morning tea in the Staff Lounge.
Please bring along a plate of food to share for morning tea, as the College relies on food donations for this event.
There is no requirement to register for this event.
Date: Sunday, 31 May
Time: 9.00am
Venue: Trinity College Chapel
