Message from the Principal

Cecilia Parada

Dear Families

Welcome to Term 2! We are excited about the term ahead, filled with engaging activities for our students and many opportunities for our school community to connect and grow together.

We hope you all enjoyed a restful school holiday and long weekend. Last week, we held our Anzac Day ceremony, a solemn occasion that honours the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. Thank you to Mr Fenech who organised this important event.

To stay informed about upcoming events and important school news, please download the School Bytes app and enable notifications. This will allow you to access our school calendar and receive timely reminders. Additionally, we will continue to send out our school newsletter with more details before each event.

School Development Days

Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 April

Our School Development Days are dedicated to enhancing our education system through extensive ongoing professional development for all NSW public education staff.

Last week, our staff focused on learning strategies to better include and support students with disabilities and neurodiversity. Through professional development sessions led by NSW Department of Education and contributions from our own staff, school counsellor, and experts, we're committed to creating a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Winter School Uniform

From the beginning of Term 2 through the end of Term 3, students are required to wear the full winter uniform. Details of the official winter uniform are available on our website and items can be purchased through My School Connect: http://www.myschoolconnect.com.au/meadowbank

Please ensure your child has the correct jumper, jacket, socks, and hat, which are all part of the uniform. We recommend ordering early to avoid delays during busy times, especially at the start of each term.

School Annual Report

Our school annual report is an important way we share our progress with the community. It reflects on how we are advancing toward the goals set in our School Excellence Plan. The annual report is published on the school website under the ‘School Planning and Reporting’ tab for your review.

Thank you for your ongoing support. We look forward to a wonderful Term 2 filled with learning, connection, and growth.
