CSEN Athletics Carnival

PRIMARY 2nd place! SECONDARY 1st place!

St Andrews students recently competed in the Primary and Secondary CSEN Athletics Carnivals and both results are outstanding – it was the first time we've ever won an athletics shield! We're super proud of the team for their efforts & fantastic results. We were so close to taking both shields out!

PRIMARY ATHLETICS

The CSEN Primary interschool athletics took place last Monday at Doncaster Athletics Track. It was so wonderful to see so many students from years 3 to 6 representing St Andrews in both track and field events on the day.

Students braved the cold weather conditions with a smile and great team spirit. The St Andrews team finished up by winning 5, out of a possible 8 banners for their individual male and female age groups! This placed them in a close second overall. It was a sensational effort by all those involved.

Congratulations to the students who participated and a huge thank you to the teachers who came to help on the day.  A special mention goes to Daniel Lee (Grade 3), who brought home 4 first placing’s and one second, also to Laura Hooi (Grade 5) for her 3 first placing’s during the day. We cannot wait to be back representing our school again next year!

SECONDARY ATHLETICS

Last Tuesday, many secondary students went to the Doncaster Athletics Track to represent St Andrews Christian College at the CSEN Secondary Interschool Athletics Carnival. Despite the cold, rainy weather, we came out victorious!

We won 6 out of 10 age groups and had many outstanding performances. Special mention goes to Jack Cassidy (Year 11) who won 6 firsts, Nick Arefta (Year 12) and Daniel Lamperd (Year 10) who each won 5 firsts and Ella Cassidy (Year 9) who won 4 firsts.

Jack Potter (Year 9) displayed an amazing performance, even breaking a few records! Thank you to Mrs Gaschk and other teachers who organised for us to compete in this day. This win is our first of hopefully many athletics shields.

Thank you also to all the students who participated to help us win this shield! We hope for many more amazing performances at the Champions Carnival later this year!
