VCAL

Royal Children's Hospital Fundraiser

The VCAL students approached staff and students to fundraise for The Good Friday Appeal as part of a VCAL Project. Their goal was to raise $1,000 for this cause through the Mycause Organisation. The students were able to achieve $1,235. Students were diligent in asking family, community and school community members in donating for this cause and used social media as a platform to collect funds. The Year 12 VCAL Class were excited in being able to exceed their goal.

“The Year 12 VCAL Class set up a fundraiser to raise money for The Good Friday Appeal. This charity is very close to our teacher’s heart. Her brother was born with Congenital Heart Disease and spent many years at the RCH. We raised $1,235 with the help and money of many students, teachers, staff and families. We are thankful for the support”.

“For The Good Friday Appeal the VCAL Class had its own fundraising site for The Royal Children’s Hospital. It was a lot of fun because we all put money in for the Children in the Hospital so that they are able to get more medical equipment and what’s needed for the children. The VCAL class raised $1,235. We all felt excited to do this for the hospital and help them out with what they need. We had a goal to achieve $1,000. When the donation site closed on Friday we ended up with $1,235 which made us really happy”.
