Principal's Report

Welcome back

Welcome back to another highly unusual term of learning. This is certainly not the way any of us wanted to start off Term 3, however I am so proud of the way students, staff and family are doing the best they can in these challenging times.

We know that so many members of our community are facing very challenging times that are connected with the Stage 3 lockdown. Our aim is that we can provide consistency and connection for your children and this goes some way to helping with maintaining wellbeing.

To all the students, please continue to keep doing your personal best with all of your learning. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in managing your learning time well, which will be invaluable in secondary education and beyond.

Please also take the time to help your parents around the house. Showing gratitude for the care and support they provide for you every day is very important and can help increase the wellbeing of everyone in your family.

Flourishing Families

I am very pleased to announce that we are offering a series of online Positive Education sessions for parents/families. This is a wonderful opportunity to both learn more about the key concepts of Positive Education and how to enhance your own and your children's wellbeing.

We are offering this course in conjunction with Mullum PS, Croydon Hills PS, Warranwood PS and Yarra Road PS. The course has been designed and will be delivered by Edwina Ricci, the Maroondah Positive Education Network Project Manager. Edwina is an expert in this field and a highly engaging presenter.

You can register via this link and please see the flyer below for further information. Places are limited, so please get on and register quickly.

Enrolments

Enrolments are now open for 2021 and we encourage you to submit your enrolment forms for students beginning in Foundation (or at other levels next year). The sooner we receive enrolments, the sooner we can begin planning for next year. As part of our agreement with local schools, we ask for Foundation enrolments, in particular, to be in by 7th August 2020. Please find the enrolment form below and it can be sent to the school via post (Kalinda Primary School, 39-49 Kalinda Rd, Ringwood 3134) or by email to kalinda.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au

For any new families to the school please contact the school via email kalinda.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au or phone 9876-3289 and we will send you information about the school and organise a 1-on-1 video conference with you.
