What's Happening at Holloway!
The Stress and Anxiety Sessions have been running for all year 10 students at Holloway Road and have been a great success!
The program has gained recognition from the Mayor of Bayside, Cr Michael Heffernan, who came to visit 10A English on Tuesday, 3rd September. Michael spoke to our students about the importance of mental health and the benefits of being resilient.
Thank you Cr Michael for visiting our school and supporting young people in our community through the Bayside City Council. Thank you to Steph and Cazzie too, who have worked tirelessly to ensure our students have further strategies to cope with stress and anxiety.

Strengthening and Raising Healthy Family Program
The new Strengthening and Raising Healthy Family Program will be delivered by the Kingston Family Support Service, and will run consecutively for 9 weeks at the Westall Community Hub.
Running from 10th Oct - 5th Dec, 10am - 12pm at 35 Fairbank Rd, Clayton South.
To register please call 95814860 - registration closes 26th September.
The purpose of the program is to provide parents with support and education in raising healthy children and families. The weekly sessions will assist parents to undertake positive parenting through mutual respect, assist in developing an understanding of the ages and stages of child development, and learn positive strategies and boundaries that will yield better outcomes in their child/ren's behaviour, including understanding the importance of play and its impact on their emotional, cognitive and social development.
The program is structured to train and educate parents in the implementation of strategies and techniques, that will enable them to understand these crucial stages in their child/ren’s development, increase their community resources awareness and service utilization.
The program will provide parents with information that will empower them to understand the need for positive parenting and assist them in raising healthy families.
