OutLoud Poetry Slam!

Year 10 students Lily Davidson, Ellen McNeil, Lauren South and Lucy Tomov competed in the Outload Poetry Slam held at the Royal Botanical Gardens. For those who are unfamiliar with the term, 'Slam Poetry', is performed and is usually issue-based. So, as you can imagine, Outloud is an exceptionally positive day where students from schools all over Victoria get together to share their passions using poetry as a  medium.

Taking part in 'Outloud' was a library initiative coordinated by Nadine Clarke from the 10-12 Library. We hope to expand the program into text year to include students from 7-9 Campus. Congratulations to the fearless poets who participated this year, against extremely tough competition, and their original poem was well received.
