Platform 81 Podcast – Calling for creators and producers! Kingston Youth Services is recruiting for our newly created Platform 81 Podcast Producer Role!

 

Our Podcast Producer Youth Role collaborates with our Youth Work Team to produce a series of podcast episodes that elevates the issues young people care about.

 

This is a contracted paid position.

To be eligible you must be:

  • 18-25 years with a connection to the City of Kingston (live, work, study)
  • Available one weekday based at our Platform 81 location (Mordialloc)
  • Attend training workshops

Fully Funded Short Courses Program

Kingston Youth Services believes in being 'here for young people', that includes doing what we can to help overcome or eliminate the barriers and challenges often faced by young people seeking employment.

Each term a limited number of spots are offered to young people to complete an accredited short course fully funded. By taking part in this, young people seeking employment are supported to gain new skills or upskill to position them to be more competitive when looking for work.

 

To attend our funded short courses, they must be:

  • Between the ages of 16 and 25
  • Connected to the City of Kingston (live, work, study)

Kingston's Youth Advisory Committee (YAC)

Kingston's Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) provides an important forum for young people to identify municipal-wide issues and opportunities, and advise Council about effective policy and service provision within the City of Kingston. The YAC provides opportunities for young people to develop leadership skills and be part of the decision making process. 

If you young people would like to join the YAC they must be aged 12-25 and live, work or study in the City of Kingston.
