1/2 Classes

In the 1/2 Classrooms...

We have enjoyed walking around our school looking for Mathematics in the environment as we focus on shapes. We made predictions about what would be the most common shape (squares and rectangles) and the reasons why, we also discussed what shapes we might not see (triangles) and why. The class was very surprised when we did in fact find, circles and triangles in the yard.

Literacy

We are loving our reading groups. We have different sessions using Reading Eggs and Fast Phonics on our new iPads, we have a session with our teacher discussing things like our Reading Goals, or we practice our word work in a variety of different ways.

In Writing, we are using our individual Writing Goals to improve our work, such as finger spaces, correct letter formation, adding more detail and information and practising our writing stamina.
