From the Principal

Tonight we are holding our School Council AGM at 7pm. We are still seeking 2 more parents to join our School Council. Even if you are unable to make tonight's meeting, but are interested in joining, please come and see me.

Parents and Friends are our main committee who run our school fundraising. They are also seeking new members. The P&F AGM is on 16th March at 3.45pm.

Over the next couple of weeks, students will be encouraged to take part in a certificate design competition. To help celebrate the students who regularly complete their home reading, we are asking students to design certificates that will be presented for 25, 50 ,75, 100, 125, 150, 175 and 200 days of home reading in the year. These certificates will be presented at our fortnightly school assembly. We can't wait to see how creative our students get!

We have a large number of students currently with symptom of runny noses, chesty coughs, headaches etc. These students are testing negative for COVID, however, due to the current DET guidelines, we are asking all parents to keep their children home if they have COVID like symptoms, even if testing negative. There are a few medical exemptions, so if you believe your child fits this, please contact me to chat. We understand that this request can put extra pressure on parents, but we are trying to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff.

This year, as part of our Values Education, we will be selecting a weekly focus for our learning. This weeks focus is It is Cool to be Kind. Teachers are looking for students demonstrating kindness to others and giving out tokens. Students with Kindness tokens will be awarded a certificate at assembly. This values focus will change each week / fortnight and will be linked to school based student data.
