Young People To Have Their Say On Victoria’s Future

Minister for Youth Ros Spence has launched a public consultation to inform Victoria’s first-ever youth strategy.

 

The new youth strategy will unify and strengthen the way the government works with young people across the state as we rebuild from the coronavirus pandemic.

What to do if you're experiencing family and domestic violence: a guide for young people

Yacvic developed a dedicated resource focused on addressing family violence and domestic violence, and the potential increased impact that COVID-19 related family violence may have on young people. It also includes a step-by-step guide on what to do if you are in an unsafe situation.

Online body confidence group

Headspace Hawthorn and City of Boroondara is about to launch a series of workshops for young people aged 14-18 who identify as female that can come together and discuss the pressures faced by young people to conform to society’s appearance ideals. (Free to attend)

From October to December 2020, you can have your say on what matters to you, in online youth and community forums that will be youth-led. Some forums will be specific to local areas and others will be focused on specific groups of young people. You can choose to attend the forum that is most relevant to you.
