A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

Welcome to term one 2020!
BUS CHANGES
It has been a really busy start to the school year, as always we have experienced some difficulties with the new bus runs and I want to thank everyone for their patience and Kim for all the hours of work she has put into sorting the issues out.
AFTERNOON PICK-UP
I also want to thank our lovely parents for being so agreeable to the changes I had to make to the system for picking up students after school. Parents have been used to waiting in the foyer for children but the noise and confusion of a lot of people in a small space has proven very confronting for quite a few of our students. I have now asked parents to wait out by the swimming pool as there are picnic tables and shade there. It was really hot last week and the parents made the move outside with good grace and understood the reason for the change. Our students were certainly a lot calmer and happier on Thursday and Friday afternoon, thank you everyone for your patience and understanding.

RETIREMENT
Finally I am sadly announcing my retirement which is effective from the end of term one. I have truly loved working at Dandy Valley, I have loved my association with your family through your beautiful, unique and very special children. It has been a pleasure working with my talented and lovely staff and I will truly miss you all. I suddenly find myself to be of an age where I need to prioritise life instead of work and I want to leave while work is still such a joy. I will have at least a thousand happy memories of my time here at Dandy Valley.
Cheers Sue
