Exciting activities!

Our Hockey Clinic

The Year 3's participated in a fun Hockey Clinic.  They were taught basic skills and used balls and hockey sticks to play fun games that excited and engaged them all.  Thank you to Carol and Colin from the Greensborough Hockey Club for coming to our school to conduct the Hockey Clinic. Here are some of their recounts about it.

Last Thursday we went to hockey.  The hockey practice was on the basketball court at school.  We had a hockey clinic and we played games with hockey sticks and balls.  There were two people helping us, their names were Carol and Colin.  They helped 3A and 3B.  We had a great hockey practice. I showed them my skills.  I loved it a lot.  When we came back I drank a lot of water.  Carol and Colin were very nice too and I hope I can do it again. Sophia C

Last Thursday at 12.30 we had a hockey clinic and it was so much fun.  The first game was where we were pterodactyls.  Carol was a T-Rex and we stole her eggs, aka, golf balls. Then we played “stuck in the mud.”  Leah got me sometimes but not all the time. Eloise

Last Thursday on the basketball court at school we had a Hockey Clinic. We used hockey sticks and balls to practice Hockey. Carol and Colin were with 3B.  We did this to practise Hockey. Kathy N

Last Thursday we went to the basketball court to do some hockey. It was so fun/bad, fun because we played so many fun games!  Bad, because I tripped over one of the Hockey teachers and cut my knee and I needed an ice pack and bandaids.  It still hurts. Harry

Last Thursday we had a Hockey Clinic.  It was to help us practise our hockey skills.  It was on the basketball court at school.  Carol and Colin taught 3A and 3B.  It was so much fun, it was the best. Levi B

Last Thursday we did a Hockey Clinic. I got to do dribbling. We did a game to steal eggs. I learnt how to control the ball with my stick. It was insanely hard, but I did it anyway. Thomas B

Last Thursday at 12.30 we went to the school basketball court to practise our hockey skills.  We played hockey games where you had to steal the eggs (balls) from the nest (circle).  We also played a game called ‘stuck in the mud’. The teachers’ names were Carol and Colin. Then we went back to the classroom. Addison M
