INITIALIT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Miss Allen recently participated in a two day video conference workshop relating to the InitaLit reading program. The program was introduced to our Kindergarten students last year and has now been implemented for students in Year 1.

The objective of the course was to provide Miss Allen with additional knowledge surrounding the InitiaLit program, assist her to effectively use additional resources to consolidate learning and ensure a consistent teaching approach by all staff within the Armidale Diocese.

ANNUAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN PRESENTATION

St Francis Xavier’s School hosted the Annual Improvement Plan (AIP) meeting for selected schools in the Diocese on Thursday 23rd February. We were joined by the CSO Mission and Learning Leadership Team as well as Leadership Teams from Boggabri, Tamworth and Armidale Diocesan schools.

Each school presented their AIP and discussed their goals for 2023. The day included learning walks through the classrooms where they witnessed our AIP in action, consistency between the stage classrooms as well as a calm learning environment throughout the school.

Mrs Greenaway had a similar opportunity to visit St Edward’s Primary School in Tamworth last Friday to observe their AIP in place.
