Sports News, Regional Cross Country

On Wednesday 15th June, a small but enthusiastic group of students, attended the regional cross country. This was the second round of competition where all the runners needed to pre-qualify from the earlier competition. The venue was Bundoora Park and in typical cross-country weather, the runners encountered wind, rain, freezing temperatures with a glimpse of sunshine.

The course was challenging with undulating terrain. The Junior and Intermediate course covered one lap of 3 kilometres with the Senior’s completing 2 laps over 5 kilometres.

Congratulations to Olivia Glass (Yr 8), Hayden Semmens (Yr 8) and Nathanael Riscica (Yr 12) for their efforts at this level of competition. As a team, we extend our best wishes to Nathanael Riscica who managed to qualify for the State Cross Country in the Senior Boys Competition.
